AutoPlayStopper is a free extension for the Google Chrome web browser. It allows users to stop videos that automatically load and play on web pages and prevent intrusive ads from disrupting your content and overall browsing experience. Like FlashStopper for Firefox, AutoPlayStopper shows you a thumbnail of the video rather than playing the video itself. If users choose to watch the video, they can click to play. It also disables flash detection and forces the use of HTML5 which can always be stopped. AutoPlayStopper works with all major video sites, like YouTube, Facebook and DailyMotion, as well as news sites and blogs with embedded videos.
